Conifers are often used as merely specimen plants but they also can look great in a hedge much like the Leylandii. They can also give an instant impact and the advantage here is that you can easily end up with a varied hedge that doesn’t loose any of the instant impact of any of the other evergreens.
These plants are grown in the ground on our nursery. Plants at this height would be dug by hand and a hessian tied round the root-ball to protect the root system. The foliage is also tied.
